CS2 Spring Forward Update: Fever Case and New Skin Collections

Who doesn’t love new skins coming to CS2? The developers have decided to treat the Counter-Strike community to many new weapon finishes with the CS2 Spring Forward Update.

A great thing about the new skins is that many of these items can be obtained for free. Three new CS2 Collections have been added to the weekly care packages program. Skins from Ascent, Boreal, and Radiant Collections can drop if you have Prime Status.

Beyond that, one new Collection is a fresh take on the Train-inspired CS2 skins. The game recently got a new version of this map, and the Train 2025 Collection is a decent way to celebrate such an extension of the map pool. If you like the sweet excitement of opening CS2 cases, rejoice as Counter-Strike receives another container: Fever Case.

Ascent, Boreal, and Radiant Collections: New Items in Weekly Drops

The CS2 Drop System has new skins for its pool of weekly drops. These skins belong to three new collections: they were added to the game with the Spring Forward Update.

• Ascent Collection: It has one Classified skin, M4A1-S | Stratosphere, and two Restricted, USP-S | Royal Guard and AK-47 | Midnight Laminate. However, it is more likely that the game will drop something less rare.

• Boreal CS2 Collection: AWP | Green Energy is a Classified skin here. M4A4 | Sheet Lightning and Glock-18 | Glockingbird are two Restricted items in this collection.

• Radiant Collection: This Collection has a few rare skins as well. If you really want to get them, it would be a better idea to buy new CS2 skins on DMarket. Items with a high rarity level are unlikely drops. The Radiant Collection includes AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge as a Classified skin. Desert Eagle | Mulberry, M4A1-S | Glitched Paint, and USP-S | Bleeding Edge are Restricted items.

Train 2025: A Classic Collection Refreshed

The first Train Collection was added to CS:GO back in 2013. The developers then released a new version, the 2021 Train Collection. With the CS2 Spring Forward Update, we get another revision: the Train 2025 Collection.

Train is one of the best maps in CS2. It returned to the active map pool in November 2024 with some pretty big changes. The new collection commemorates this brilliant comeback.

Fever Case in CS2: Get it in the Armory

The Counter-Strike 2 Spring Forward Update brought us some changes to the Armory, which is an analog of Battle Pass in CS2. The reward system offers a new purchase: the Fever Case. It costs two Armory Credits.

So, what are the best CS2 skins you can receive from the Fever Case?

• Nomad, Paracord, Skeleton, Survival: Four types of CS2 knives in the Fever Case.
• Doppler, Ultraviolet, Tiger Tooth, Marble Fade, Damascus Steel, Rust Coat: six possible finishes for the Fever Case knives.
• Covert skins are AWP | Printstream and FAMAS | Bad Trip.
• Classified items include UMP-45 | K.O. Factory, Glock-18 | Shinobu, and AK-47 | Searing Rage.

XM1014 | Solitude: A Unique, Limited Edition Skin

The idea of skins that change appearance with different seeds is not new. Seed 661 for AK-47 | Case Hardened creates one of the most expensive CS2 skins ever: the Blue Gem. The look and cost of Fade skin patterns change as well.

Inferno and Train: Visual Improvements, a Wider Banana

As for changes to the CS2 maps, the developers have applied some visual improvements to Train and Inferno. The Spring Forward update has made some elements of these CS2 maps look cleaner.
